The Black Archives of Mid-America is a "repository of photographs, letters, oral histories, and other materials documenting the history of African Americans in Kansas City, Missouri, and the Midwest United States." This site offers access to the Black Archives Image Database, which is the result of the Kansas City Public Library / Black Archives Digitization Project. The database contains digitized portions of the Archives' collection and is updated weekly.
